Developing this game was a great learning experience. Learning the math to calculate the rotation and simulate the physics of space was fun. I have added 4 game modes.
The AI is pretty basic but holds up well.
1) Original – Play the classic asteroids destroying as much as possible until all lives are lost
2) Co-Op – Same as original, but you will play with an AI ally and the game will continue until all lives are lost.
3) Race – Destroy as many meteors in 1 minute. Destroy more than your AI opponent to win.
4) Versus – Just you and your AI opponent. The first to lose all lives loses.
